Hanging Rock, Cambrian Rise Shiraz 2012

Hanging Rock look slightly further north for their Shiraz grapes, to the warmer region of Heathcote. The pink Cambrian rocks that proliferate the area are fast becoming magic soils that produce high quality Shiraz.

Smells of Tegan Blue plums and Staedtler ink eraser. Sightly meaty animal skin balanced with herby bay leaf. Rich dark plummy fruit with plenty of sandy tannins. A savoury finish shows this serious wine means business.
