Angullong (Orange, NSW), Fossil Hill Barbera 2015

The colour is enticingly of deep mulberry with long legs (14.5% Alc) & clear meniscus.
The palate delivers bright, juicy fruit in the maraschino cherry / rhubarb spectrum.
There is an underlay of fine tannins, spiciness & pepper supported by grippy acid.
There is also a distinctive hint of savoury earthy flavours reflective of this rustic variety.
Altogether, an enjoyable approachable food wine which will reward some cellaring
