Pig in the House [Windowrie], Chardonnay [Organic, Biodynamic] 2016

An intriguing wine which some might say does not fit into the typical Australian Chardonnay profile. Nontheless, it is bound to find its own niche for appreciators of this style of minimal intervention, purist winemaking
Somewhat closed on the nose, it delivers a quirky initial palate profile of rosemary / thyme flavours and oyster shell minerality.
The white peach / nectarine top notes then wrap themselves around the astringent acid backbone.
A pleasant enough Chardonnay of the genre which was well matched with a creamy chicken dish.
