Pig in the House [Canowindra, NSW], Organic Shiraz 2018

When Southern Rhone meets Beaujolais.
Jason & Rebecca O'Dea have released their 2018 vintage of the Pig in the House Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon, made from grapes grown and vinified under biodynamic / organic
This philosophy is admirably reflected in the pristine & vibrant delivery of varietal characteristics in both wines.
This Organic Shiraz delivers a purity of flavours reminescent of Gamay but with the grip and brawn of a young Shiraz from that region [Cowra NSW]
Red berries, spice & pepper aromas and flavour mingle with subliminal vanillin oak to camouflage the brawny 14% Alc
This is a very enjoyable, playfully lively Shiraz, unhindered from wine-making artifice which is currently ideally suited to salami pizzas and Asian meals.
