Angullong (Orange, NSW), Pinot Grigio 2019

Ben Crossing and the Angullong team have released a pair of their multi-Trophy winning whites from the Orange region.
The instigation of sustainable vineyard management practices have brought out the best of their vines, reflected in those two whites.
This 2019 Pinot Grigio, winner of 2 Gold Medals and Trophy for Best Pinot Gris / Grigio at the recent Australian Highlands Wine Show, is a testament to the quality of the product.
It opens up with a burst of lively freshness and a delivery of crisp primary fruit flavours in the pear / quince spectrum with a waft of marzipan.
This is supported by citrussy acid savouriness and an enticing back palate of ongoing sweet fruit ripeness.
It is a very approachable, refrshingly cheerful Pinot Grigio which is eminently quaffable by itself but also a palate-pleasing accompaniment to our entree of artichoke & rocket salad,
One to be enjoyed whilst energetically refreshing
