Angullong (Orange, NSW), Sauvignon Blanc 2019

This 2109 Angullong Sauvignon Blanc is the other of the two Trophy winning whites from Ben Crossing and his team.
On opening, typical cool-climate Sauvignon Blanc varietal characters surge to the fore both on the nose and palate.
A perceived mid-palate sweetness is amply supported by crisp acid and fulsome primary fruit power.
The generous ripe fruit flavours and texture deliver palate fulness and weight.
Ours was well matched with a dish of steamed asparagus and freshly-made Hollandaise sauce.
