Angullong (Orange, NSW), Sauvignon Blanc 2019

This 2019 Angullong Sauvignon Blanc from Ben Crossing and his team, is the other well-deserved Trophy winner at the recent Australian Highlands Wine Show.
Again, the instigation of sustainable practices and vineyard management have resulted in quality fruit despite tough vintage conditions.
On opening, typical cool-climate varietal characters come to the fore both on the nose and palate.
A perceived mid-palate sweetness is amply supported by crisp acid and fulsome primary fruit richness. The generous ripe fruit flavours and texture deliver palate fulness and weight.
Ours was enjoyed with a dish of steamed asparagus and freshly made Hollandaise sauce
