Vigneron Jason O'Dea and winemaker Anthony D'Onise have released a pair of wines from O'Dea's Certified Organic vineyard in Canowindra [NSW] under the quirky, cheeky Pig in the House label.
This 2019 Organic Chardonnay, vinified under minimal-intervention protocol, opens with an upfront delivery of varietal fruit both on the nose and palate.
Melon and citrus aromas and flavours are suppoorted by a lingering vanilla / custard slice subtext
It is vibrantly youthful with an angular mid-palate minerality and rustic astringency
It is one to be enjoyed now perhaps with a seafood salad or even charcuterie
