Pig in the House [Canowindra, NSW], Organic Shiraz 2019

Founder Jason O'Dea and winemaker Anthony D'Onise are proud of this wine's achievement of the Wine Show circuit.

It was a Gold Medal winner at the  recent prestigious 2020 Adelaide Wine Show. This continues a lineage of awards since the initial 2016 vintage release

This 2019 Shiraz pours with a vibrant deep cherry hue and vermillon meniscus
The long legs presage the warming and hefty 14.5% Alc.
The elevage and vinification was along strict Organic protocols

The initial nose and palate are of dry herbs, red / blue berries and a rustic undertone of mushroom compost with wafts of clove. This funky profile got more prominent on airing
Grippy acid and vanillin oak undertones carry the generous fruit primacy

Definitely a food wine, ours was matched with air-fried pork shoulder and roast vegetables
