Sapling Yard , The Four Pinots 2021

This is a quaint, quirky and eminently quaffable drop from the Winemakers Carla Rodeghiero and Malcolm Burdett.

The Sapling Yard label is a relatively new one and named after the Sapling Yard creek which flows across the cool-climate Braiwood [NSW] vineyard.
This 2021 Sapling Yard 'The Four Pinots' is, by definition, a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc all soruced from regional areas.
The 50% barrel and 50% stainless steel fermentation contributes some complexity and abundant freshness.
The attractive label and onion-skin tache colour attract the eye.
The aromas and flavours reflect a sweet 'n' sour jubiness, dusky / musky wafts of floralness and red berries with a solid mid-palate astringent grip.
It's a versatile, freshly vibrant wine which would complement a range of food styles and should be enjoyed now.
