Sapling Yard , The Four Pinots 2021

This is a quaint, quirky and easily quaffable drop from Winemakers Carla Rodeghiero and Malcolm Burdett
The Sapling Yard label is a relatively new one and named after the Sapling Yard Creek which flows across the cool-climate Braidwood [NSW] vineyard.
This 2021 Sapling Yard 'The Four Pinots' is, by definition an intriguing blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Blanc, all sourced from cool-climate regional areas.
The 50% barrel and 50% stainless steel fermentation contributes complexity and freshness.
The attractive label and onion-skin tache colour attract the eye.
The aromas and flavours reflect a sweet 'n' sour jubiness, dusky / musky wafts of floralness and red berries with a long mid-palate textural grip.
It is a versatile, fresh and vibrantly grippy wine which would complement a range of food styles.
It should be enjoyed now and over the coming warm months, especially in al-fresco convivial settings.
