Pig in the House [Canowindra, NSW], Organic Shiraz 2020

This quirky label is an off-shoot of the O'Dea's family Windowrie Estate Wines.
Jason and Rebecca O'Dea established a boutique vineyard and have developed if along strict organic protocols with minimum intervention from dirt to bottle.
Their aim to make consistent, solid award-winning Shirazes is reflected in their swag of 13 Gold medals to date, from across the range of Australian Wine Shows.
This 2020 Pig in the House Organic Shiraz is replete with fresh, fulsome and palate-warming primary varietal characters.
Cherry-ripe, pepper, vanilla, licorice and Christmas pudding aromas and flavours swamp the tastebuds from the first pour 'n' sip.
The 14.5% Alc component warms and supports the punchy palate glide to a long fruit-driven finish.
This is another generous, well-priced Organic Shiraz from Jason O'Dea which will undoubtedly continue his medal-winning journey.
It's a drop that can be enjoyed by itself [perhaps even on ice] but would also be a hearty match to solid protein-based dishes.
[Anecdotally, the previous owner-farmer of the property now occupied by Jason O'Dea and family, allowed his pet pigs in his house]
