Angullong Wines [Orange NSW], Fossil Hill Tempranillo 2019

Angullong Winery, under the guidance of owner / general Manager Ben Crossing has been producing and releasing a range of wines under the Fossil Hill abel.
These include some Alternative Varieties developed in their Millthorpe, Mt Canobloas cool-climate high-elevation vineyards
This 2019 Angullong Fossil Hill Tempranillo reflects both the terroir as well as the dry, lower than average yield of that year.
The traditional chameleon-like varietal characteristics of the grape express themselves abundantly under a New World muscular cloak
Sweet vanillin oak and red fruit redolent of sour cherry and raspberries are abundant both on the nose and palate
Mid-palate tart savouriness and a hint of mushroom funk follow on a smooth 14.5% Alc glide.
This is another generous, well-priced and food-friendly wine which we enjoyed over two nights without loss of punch
Price: $28
Wine Category: Other Red
